Morphology General Habit
Perennial, rather slender, up to 26 cm tall, with a slightly swollen base, coated with the fibrous remains of old leaf sheaths.

Culms solitary, 10–25 cm long, 0.5–1 mm wide, trigonous, glabrous

Leaves up to 10 cm long. Leaf blade linear,–10 cm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, scabrid on margin Leaf sheath straw-coloured to brownish.
