Glabrous perennial herb up to 2 m. high.

Leaves long-petiolate; lamina oblong-ovate, up to 30 cm. long and 15 cm. wide, apex acute, base subcordate, margins crenate or doubly crenate, slightly pruinose, green; petiole up to 7 cm. long, subterete, grooved above, broadened at the base, ± purplish.

Inflorescence a paniculate cyme to 50 cm. long and 30 cm. broad; pedicels 9–15 mm. long.
