Morphology General Habit
Annual, slender, up to 12 cm tall, with a minute rootsystem.

Culms tufted, 1–10 cm long, 0.5–1.5 mm wide, trigonous, smooth
Morphology Leaves
Leaves up to 12.5 cm long. Leaf blade linear, flat, 2–9.8 cm long, 0.5–2.4 mm wide, scabrid on margin and primary vein, particularly near the apex, apex acuminate Leaf sheath green to purple, 1–2.7 cm long, much wider then the culm.
