Vegetative Multiplication Rhizomes
Rhizome 0.5 cm thick; scaly membranous leaves at leaf bases, much smaller in size than in var. {i}subspicata{/i}.
Morphology Leaves
Leaves ascending-spreading and slightly recurving, narrowly lanceolate, (15–)23–27(–32) × 2–3(–5) cm, acute.

Mozambique, South Africa

Very locally dominant with two other species in dense shade of {i}Xylocarpus, Tamarindus, Maulikara, Sideroxylon {/i}fringing bush on a cliff top; near sea level

Note
{i}Sansevieria subspicata {/i}var. {i}subspicata {/i}has been found only in Mozambique. This species has much longer flowers than {i}S. parva{/i}. The leaves are coriaceous, shiny, erect and longer, with a deeper petiole channel and no surface rhizomes.
