Morphology General Habit
Shrub to 3 m or small tree to 5 m high, with branches and stems fleshy.

Leaves to c. 18 × 8 cm, oblanceolate, apiculate at the apex, tapering at the base into a winged petiole to 1 cm long, margins minutely crisped, both surfaces glabrous but a very few sparse hairs occasionally present on the margins and the midrib beneath at the base; midrib beneath with a sharp keel to 1 mm wide.

Cymes 3–5, axillary, pseudumbellate, on sparsely hairy peduncles 2–5 cm long, each 1–2 times dichotomously forked with a sessile cyathium (involucre) in each fork and at the tips of the ultimate branchlets; cyme branches c. 1–1.5 cm long, pubescent; bracts c. 3 × 3 mm, subquadrate, dentate, sparsely pubescent.

Cyathia c. 3.5 × 6 mm, with funnel-shaped involucres, pubescent around the base; glandular rim c. 1.25 mm wide, furrowed; lobes c. 1.5 × 2 mm, denticulate, very sparsely hairy.
