Morphology General Habit
Erect perennial herb 60 cm. tall, branched in the lower half, glabrous throughout.

Lowest leaves deltoid-ovate, soon becoming deltoid-pandurate with broad blunt lateral lobes at the base, the lamina to ± 4.5 × 2.75 cm., the petiole 1.5–2 cm., upper leaves lanceolate-hastate with a narrower central lobe, the uppermost frequently linear with no basal lobes; small rounded and often falcate stipuliform leaves also subtending many stem and branch leaves.

Inflorescence terminal, 7.5 × 0.8 cm., a spiciform thyrse formed of compacted cymes ± 0.5 cm. in diameter, only the lowest cymes being slightly distant.
