Loranthaceae, S. Balle. Flora of West Tropical Africa 1:2. 1958

    Flowers
    Flowers shining red
    Ecology
On numerous hosts, including Salvadora and Sclerocarya
    Note
Apparently takes the place of T. bangwensis in the drier regions. Forms transitional in the consistence, colour and shape of the leaves are known in Senegal and Nigeria. Some forms seem to connect these two species with T. voltensis and T. pentagonia. Careful field observations on the colour of flowers and fruits are needed. A form with small leaves seems to be localized around Timbuktu.

Loranthaceae, S. Balle. Flora of West Tropical Africa 1:2. 1958

    Branches
Branchlets and leaves glaucous, similar in appearance to T. globiferus
    Perianth
Perianth tube red, apex greenish white.
    Ecology
On Acacia nilotica, Adansonia, Bauhinia rufescens, Butyrospermum parkii and Maytenus senegalansis.
