- Habit
- Robust erect suffruticose perennial to 3 m. tall; stems thick and succulent, simple to moderately branched, glabrous, becoming woody below.
- Leaves
- Leaves in dense whorls of 6–10(–12), sessile or subsessile, rather congested towards stem tops; lamina oblanceolate, rarely oblong, (3–)5–18 cm. long, 1.8–4.8(–5.5) cm. broad, the apex obtuse to subacute, glabrous; lateral veins 7–10 pairs; margin shallowly serrate or serrulate with several fine, 1–5 mm. long fimbriae towards the base.

- Inflorescence 1(–2)-flowered, the flowers pale pink or white.

- Peduncle 2.5–6(–7) cm. long.

- Lateral sepals ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, 6–8 mm. long, shortly acuminate. Lower sepal narrowly and obliquely navicular, 14–18 mm. long, abruptly constricted into a (5.5–)6–9.8 cm. long filiform spur, slightly thickened at the tip.

- Dorsal petal broadly-obovate or suborbicular, 18–23 mm. long, 25–30 mm. broad, emarginate, dorsally with a narrow crest. Lateral united petals 30–37 mm. long; upper petal oblong or suborbicular, 21–28 mm. long, 17–27 mm. broad, emarginate, the lower petal oblong, 20–33 mm. long, 14–21 mm. broad, usually somewhat emarginate distally along the inner margin.
