Diagnostic
Similar to the preceding (A. ciliata), but usually not exceeding 50 cm. in height, leaf-blade smaller and with a proportionately longer petiole, more markedly caudate-acuminate, inflorescences more laxly flowered, sometimes almost unisexual, the ♀ bracts smaller, up to 2 mm. long and 4 mm. wide in fruit, with shorter teeth (less than 1 mm. long), the capsules smaller, 1 mm. long and 1.5 mm. wide.
Habitat
Coastal forest, often on coral outcrops; 0–160 m.
