Note
Very similar to C. margaritaceus but slightly smaller, with shorter spikelets and glumes, and a narrower nutlet. Also similar to C. niveus var. tisserantii but with fewer leaves, shorter involucral bracts and fewer spikelets per head. I considered to reduce it to a variety of niveus, but in the end kept the two separate.
