    Leaves sessile, lanceolate, 4–12 × 3–10 mm, serrate
    Inflorescences
    Inflorescence condensed with clustered 2-flowered verticils
    Calyx
    Calyx 5–10 mm long, tubularcampanulate with 5 equal teeth
    Corolla
    Corolla white, pink or purple, 20–30 mm long, tubular at base, inflated beyond calyx; posterior lip flat or slightly hooded
    Stamens
    Stamens 4, ascending under posterior lip.
