Morphology General Habit
Decumbent succulent perennial herb, with erect reddish usually pustulate branched stems, woody at the base, up to 30 cm. high.

Leaves alternate to subopposite, sessile, generally tightly clustered on sterile shoots, oblong to oblong-ovoid, 5–20 mm. long, 2–3.5 mm. broad, apex obtuse, often papillose, base shortly auriculate-peltate, upper surface concave, lower convex, succulent, reddish in exposed places, green in shaded places.

Inflorescence a terminal few-flowered corymbose cyme; bracts similar to the leaves but smaller; pedicels 1–4(–6) mm. long.
