Morphology General Habit
Slender decumbent perennial herb, with long trailing branched square or slightly winged stems up to 1 m. long, often rooting at the nodes to just below the inflorescence.

Leaves sessile, mostly alternate at the base, ternate above; lamina fleshy, flat, oblong-spathulate to oblong-lanceolate, up to 2(–2.5 fide Raym.-Hamet (1957)) cm. long, 0.8 cm. broad, apex obtuse, base shortly spurred, margins entire.

Habitat
Epiphyte in upland forest, 1800–2400 m., but in Tanzania may also occur as a terrestrial herb on moist rocky ground in montane heath; 3200–4350 m.
